Welcome to Pick Me Up 242! We provide taxi services in the Bahamas, connecting passengers with registered drivers through our mobile application. By registering as a user or driver, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
Pick Me Up 242 may, in Pick Me Up 242’s sole discretion, create promotional codes that may be redeemed for Account credit, or other features or benefits related to the Services and/or a Third-Party Provider’s services, subject to any additional terms that Pick Me Up 242 establishes on a per promotional code basis (“Promo Codes”).
You agree that Promo Codes:
(i) must be used for the intended audience and purpose, and in a lawful manner.
(ii) may not be duplicated, sold or transferred in any manner, or made available to the general public (whether posted to a public form or otherwise), unless expressly permitted by Pick Me Up 242.
(iii) may be disabled by Pick Me Up 242 at any time for any reason without liability to Pick Me Up 242.
(iv) may only be used pursuant to the specific terms that Pick Me Up 242 establishes for such Promo Code.
(v) are not valid for cash; and
(vi) may expire prior to your use. Pick Me Up 242 reserves the right to withhold or deduct credits or other features or benefits obtained through the use of Promo Codes by you or any other user in the event that Pick Me Up 242 determines or believes that the use or redemption of the Promo Code was in error, fraudulent, illegal, or in violation of the applicable Promo Code terms or these Terms.
Consent to Receive Communications: By creating an account with Pick Me Up 242, you expressly consent to receiving promotional, transactional, and informational messages from us regarding your use of our services, including but not limited to updates about your ride status, receipts, notifications, and promotions. These communications may be sent through various channels, including but not limited to emails, text messages, push notifications, or phone calls.
Managing Communications Preferences: You may manage your communication preferences by accessing the settings feature within your account on the Pick Me Up 242 app. Here, you can choose which types of communications you wish to receive from us and through what channels.
Opt-Out of Communications: If at any time you wish to stop receiving promotional messages from us, you may opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in any of the communications or by managing your preferences in the app. Please note that opting out of promotional communications will not prevent you from receiving transactional messages related to your account, such as ride confirmations and receipts.
Closing Your Account: If you no longer wish to use our services and want to stop all communications from Pick Me Up 242, you may close your account by contacting our customer support team through the app or via email support@pickmeup242.com. Closing your account will result in the deletion of your account and cessation of all communications from us, as your contact information and preferences will be permanently removed from our databases.
To use most aspects of the Services, you must register for and maintain an active personal user Services account (“Account”). You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction (if different than 18), to obtain an Account.
Account registration requires you to submit to Pick Me Up 242 certain personal information, such as your name, address, mobile phone number, and age, as well as at least one valid payment method (either a credit card or accepted payment partner). You agree to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date information in your Account.
Your failure to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date Account information, including having an invalid or expired payment method on file, may result in your inability to access and use the Services or Pick Me Up 242's termination of these Terms with you.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Account, and you agree to maintain the security and secrecy of your Account username and password at all times. Unless otherwise permitted by Pick Me Up 242 in writing, you may only possess one Account.
You are responsible for all activities conducted under your user account. Keep your password and other secure information confidential to prevent unauthorized access to your account.
Fares for taxi services can be paid through our mobile app, in cash directly to the driver, or via direct deposit. A deposit is required to reserve a ride, with the balance payable upon reaching your destination. All financial transactions are subject to our cancellation and refund policy.
Rides must be cancelled at least 30 minutes before for pre-scheduled pickup and within three (3) minutes of booking on-demand rides to avoid a cancellation fee. Refunds for cancelled services will be issued minus administrative fees, unless otherwise stated.
Drivers must maintain a non-smoking vehicle, dress appropriately, and treat passengers with respect. Passengers must respect drivers and comply with requests to maintain a safe and pleasant environment. Drivers have the right to refuse entry to passengers who do not adhere to these standards.
All content on the Pick Me Up 242 platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Pick Me Up 242 or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content without express permission.
All drivers are required to maintain a minimum of third-party vehicle insurance. Pick Me Up 242 disclaims all liability for any incidents that occur during the use of our service, except as otherwise required by law.
Our service may integrate with or contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Pick Me Up 242. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.
Disputes between passengers and drivers are to be initially handled through our customer support. For unresolved disputes, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally before pursuing arbitration or other legal measures.
Pick Me Up 242 reserves the right to modify these terms or any additional terms that apply to a service to, for example, reflect changes to the law or changes to our services. You should look at the terms regularly. We’ll post notice of modifications to these terms on this page. Changes will not apply retroactively and will become effective no sooner than fourteen days after they are posted.
